Spotify is increasing the monthly cost of its Premium subscription in the United States and a few other countries. Starting in February 2026, the standard individual plan in the U.S. will cost $12.99 per month, up from the current $11.99. Similar increases are planned in markets such as Estonia and Latvia.
The company says the adjustment is meant to reflect the overall value of the service and to support continued investment in the platform. That includes product development, content expansion, and payments to artists and rights holders. Subscribers affected by the change will receive advance notice by email before the new price takes effect.
This move follows earlier price increases rolled out by Spotify in several regions over the past two years. Like many streaming services, the company has been working to balance rising operational costs with long term profitability while maintaining its catalog of music, podcasts, and other audio content.
The price increase applies only to certain plans and regions, with other subscription tiers varying by market.
