Amazon Prime Video is developing a sequel series to Nurse Jackie with Edie Falco set to reprise her role. The project, originally in the works at Showtime, has now found a home at Amazon. Set 10 years after the series finale, the logline reveals that Jackie Peyton is back on her feet despite losing her nursing license. The continuation of her story will explore the challenges of staying good in a world where being bad is more tempting. Liz Flahive and Abe Sylvia (GLOW, Palm Royale) will produce the series. Nurse Jackie originally aired on Showtime from 2009 to 2015. Falco earned six Emmy nominations for the role and won Best Actress In A Comedy in 2010. (Variety)
